MARK KELLY HAVE HOPE FOUNDATION AT A GLANCE
A Bit of Background
Here at Mark Kelly Have Hope Foundation, we are driven by a single goal- to do our part in making sure that no local family battles childhood cancer alone. Our foundation is named after our original inspiration- a local child who, after being diagnosed at the age of 10 with very high risk leukemia, endured 1,303 days of treatment. His reminder to all of us to "have hope" continues to be our driving force.
SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY
Making A Difference One Event at A Time
Mark Kelly Have Hope Foundation is in the business of assisting families of children who have had their lives turned upside down due to pediatric cancer. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing financial assistance and emotional support for these families. To date, we have been fortunate enough to be able to assist in areas ranging from pharmaceutical expenses and transportation costs to making sure that a child received a much-wanted Christmas gift. All of our recipients are medically verified and thoroughly vetted by our board of directors before the disbursement of any funds.

ANNUAL GO GOLD FESTIVAL
Community Involvement
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. In an attempt to raise awareness and funds, our foundation holds an annual Festival in Shelbyville, TN, each September. This event is complete with a live auction, games, food, live entertainment and all-around fun! It is also a public reminder that, unfortunately, children get cancer, too. If you are interested in volunteering, sponsoring or donating to this event, we welcome you to contact us.
PUBLIC OUTREACH
Putting a Face to Childhood Cancer
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to continually convey our message to the public, whenever possible. Outreach and awareness are things that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact on our community. If you or your organization are interested in interviewing, photographing or reporting on any of our events, recipients or organization in general, please feel free to
contact us.

ANNUAL 5K RUN/1K WALK
One Step at a Time
Step up your efforts to stomp out childhood cancer! Each spring, in coordination with Family Video of Shelbyville, TN, we host our annual 5K Run/ 1K Walk. We've had various themes throughout the years, in an attempt to keep the event fresh and fun, so you never know what the next event may bring. If you are interested in registering for this event, please contact us.
BEDFORD COUNTY ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE
Good Tidings of Comfort and Joy
Quite possibly one of our favorite events! The entire purpose of our participation in the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade is to promote awareness and to give back a little joy to the community that so generously supports us throughout the year. Each year, our tireless volunteers donate time, money and resources to hand craft our float and costumes. They then walk the entire route of the parade passing out literature (and of course, candy!). If you are interested in contributing to this event, please contact us.
